What people are saying about our family friendly Park...

“Friendly welcome and great place to stay”
“A Gem in the Rainforest”
“Perfect hosts and nice family cabins”
I spent 3 nights in a campervan at this park in early November 2014. The park was quiet but in very nice surroundings. The cooking and toilet and shower facilities were well maintained. The kitchen/community shed has all the utensils you could possibly want plus brochure and boardgames. The proprietors were friendly and the costs moderate.
I am a keen wildlife photographer and there was quite a lot of flowering plants around the park with many nectar-seeking birds. Nearby Lake Eacham, along with Lake Barrine are real gems....which makes this park ideally located for nature-watching.
This site is the kind of place I love, down to earth, quirky, maybe a bit old fashioned, but has everything you need and the location is fantastic.
Nearby is the beautiful Lake Eacham, a terrific place for a swim and all around are amazing birds and beautiful flowers and the ancient trees of the rainforest.
The owners are friendly and welcoming and run a good shop (petrol also available) Thank goodness there are still places left like this,
Been there twice, camping each time. Management is always lovely, helpful and ready to provide great information on the surroundings.
There is a great variety of birds visiting the park for the nature enthusiasts.
Location is also great as it is minutes away from lake eacham and barrine. I would definitively recommend it.
Not having booked for a Friday night in school hols we were very lucky to be accommodated with an unpowered site. Helpful and friendly management ensured we had the best place for our campervan, provided advice on a good itinerary taking little back roads and suggesting brilliant spots to stop off on our way to our next destination.
The well stocked shop was priced reasonably and had lots on offer - home baking included (yum!); and local fresh produce.
The grounds were lovely and next time we'll be booking ahead to stay for longer. Facilities were clean and funky - loved the retro feel of the bathrooms - please don't renovate and go modern and ticky tacky!
This is a gem in the rainforest. We just love this small park. We are travellers living in a small van and this park has got everything required.
There is a big kitchen sheltered from the often heavy rain. There is lots of space for preparing food. Gas stove, fire place and BBQ a big fridge and plenty of cooking utensils, pots and frying pans. Another bonus to add to your travelling needs is that there are always people to guide you to the next camping spot.
The owners are lovely and helpful people always having time for a chat. Heaps of wild life roaming around. Lots of backpackers find their way to this tranquil place and Lake Eacham itself is only 20 minutes’ walk away. The swimming is just superb.
We stayed in the lavender cabin for three days; very suitable for our family of 5. Not that big, but cozy and well equipped; overall good value.
Our hosts were very friendly and helpful... We had a full introduction to the "not to be missed" spots in the area and all the support we needed. They are walking advertising for Australian hospitality! I highly recommend this place.
